Specific questions?
Anticipated Issues?
1. Start with explaining the lesson
What is a food chain? How are they formed? Where are we?
| ||
2. Using the smart board, putting correct animals into the food chain.
Taking turns dragging photos of animals to their correct places on a displayed empty food chain.
What kind of animals seem to be at the top?
Maybe some smartboard malfunctioning
3. Explain energy transfer from organism to organism
Use the food chain the kids just made as a visual
Why are the animals who are at the top of the food chain there?
| |
4. Use the iPads to let the kids work independently on a vocabulary quiz I have previously prepared on Quizlet (a free online quiz maker)
Let the kids take the quizzes while I walk around the room and assist any kids who need help or have questions.
What is the relationship between consumers and their location on the food chain? Producers?
| |
5. See what they learned
having a game of who wants to be a millionaire featuring the vocabulary words.
Several questions regarding the subject in the game
This is a lesson plan that was created entirely by myself and one other person in my education 252
REFLECTION: It is incredible how technology can literally be used to do essentially anything you want to do in the classroom and I am now aware of so many other ways to utilize it. These kinds of things are what is going to shape the way I do my lesson plans in the future and help my students understand the content in a whole new efficient way.
